A picture of her I see
it flashes before my eyes
touches my heart and soul
numb i stand
In cold silent nights she comes
Tucks in the blanket, runs her soft hands on me
I feel her touch on me
In gloomy sunsets she sneaks from behind
wraps her arms around me, rests her head on me
I feel her then, that affection
Opening my eyes to a new day I find her glaring at me
I forget all rest but this love
I feel her presence in my life
In my happiness, she smiles
That everlasting glow on her in my momentary joy
In my sorrow she is besides me
Her warmth soaks all my sadness
I feel her soothing pat on my back
We talk and chirp
Not knowing its day or night
We talk about us, our children,
out story, our lives
I feel her sharing my life
Life has brought me everything
the lord has bestowed a lot on me
but I will trade all this
all material wants, desires, wishes
all this ordinary, everything
for a solitary moment of her presence
for one feel of that true love
for her being in my life.
A picture of her I see
picture of her being in my life...
