Foreward:

Porobash is a bi-monthly Bangla Magazine published from Tokyo. This was not the first attempt for a community magazine in Tokyo. But the editor, a friend of mine, had a different vision for the venture. I just tried to cope with it. The logistics aren't so easy to come by for a magazine in a foreign land with a very selected cluster of a society. The proposition is more complimentary than a business one. The first edition was completely designed and composed at my home workstation. The 36 page first edition took more than three weeks of incessant sitting on the computer. The final output was aimed at producing a slightly different composition of pages. I hope it was done. This has now become the most circulated community magazine for the Bangla community in Japan.
