                                      The Plot

Let's start with introducing the information of the Korean society. Yangban is a distinctive social class in Chosun dynasty (1392-1910). In Chosun dynasty, at the cabinet meeting, a king sat in the front center, civil officers stood in rank at the east side from the king, and military officers stood at the west side.
Both sides of officers in all are called yangban. They were usually elected by national service exams. At the first time, yangban was used only to call both sides officers, but later, this term was changed to designate yangban families as a social class as yangban's positions tended to be handed down to their descendants. The yangban had many privileges: they were exempt
from tax; they were free from military duty and corvee.
Kisaeng is a group of women who belong to the lower social class. They were commoner or servant women who entertain mostly for yangban. They were also performing artists and courtesans. Some of the kisaengs belonged to the sate office.

The main plot is the story of Mongryong and Chunhyang, and Byun governor is a villain.
One sunny day, Mongryong asks his servant, Bangja, to go out to see beautiful sights in the town of Namwon. Mongryong is the son of the current Governor of Namwon. Bangja takes Mongryong to Kwanghan Pavilion where Mongryong notices a beautiful girl having a swing.
