Mystery Coins

Now that I've got a scanner, here's the first batch of mystery coins for you attribution fun. Please e-mail me if you have any leads

1. Here's my biggest mystey, the core of a fouree antoninianus of Gordian III. The bust is facing left and IMP C GORDIANVS PIVS... is all all I can read of the obverse legend.  I can't find the reverse *anywhere*. Please help!!! For a bigger scan of the reverse, click here, and for a closeup of the obverse click here
2/3/01- Okay, I appears to be a provincial instead of a fourre core. But I'm even more lost now!

2. I really have two questions about this coin. The first is, of course, what is it? But the second is what in the world has happened to the obverse? Is this simply a strange state of preservation or some sort of defacing or mint error? It's 25mm.
