I went to see Ozzy on March 5, 2002 at the Skyreach Center in Edmonton, Alberta. It was awesome!
I was kinda pissed 'cause meL&Bren couldn't come and then they didn't have hoodies at the tshirt stands and I REALLY wanted a hoodie. I got a longsleeved shirt instead, I'll take a pic sometime with me in it and put it up. I'd do it right now but my 'tard ass brother has our digital camera(piss monkey).
Project Wyze started and they were good. The lead singer crowd surfed(I was in the pit). And then Tea Party came on but no one cared, everyone was screaming for Ozzy. Tonnes of people were yelling for them to get off the stage.
We were waiting for Ozzy to come on when this big fat indian guy and some skinny guy just pushed through everyone. We started following him(I went with my brother and 3 of his friends). The guy kept yelling out Ozzy and taking pictures of the crowd. I saw him later on running out from up front all pissed off, someone stole his coat.
And then these screens started playing the start to the Lady Marmalade music video. Everyone in the crowd was like "Oh what the fuck is this?" and then they showed Ozzy dressed up as Christina Aguilera with a big blond wig on. They had a few other video clips(I can't really remember, shoulda wrote this earlier).
And then Ozzy came on. And everyone just pushed towards the stage. For half of the first song I couldn't see, I was pressed in between two people. This guy beside me is like "How's it goin'? Ya wanna crowd surf?" I was terrified I was gonna get crushed to death(yeah, I'm a wuss). I shoulda crowd surfed at Nickelback. But then everyone eased off.
There was a mosh pit right in front of where I was(in the middle, about 10 meters from the stage). This guy behind me got up to crowd surf but they just passed him forward and he landed on the cement and no one helped him up. Then some old indian lady came into it and started smoking and a kid ran into her so she started kicking him, stupid bitch shouldn't've been in the mosh pit.
It was an awesome concert but just like Nickelback, I hadn't heard many of Ozzy's songs so I didn't really know anything except Crazy Train and Get Me Through. He played mainly stuff from his new album, one of the two that I have.
It was an awesome concert but I dunno, I'm not a huge huge HUGE fan and my feet got stepped on soooo many times(thank God I decided to wear my combat boots). It was worth it but only kinda.
