My teacher showed my class works based on the grid concept of Andre Brenton. Instead of having fixed concepts to work on, we had to work sub-consciously with the dotted grid paper. Not sure how to work sub-consciously, I did what I thought was the next best thing: I did things impulsively, without really thinking about artistic appeal. As I continued though I started thinking consciously on how to make my impulsive marks and shapes look appealing by adding color.
