For the Suessical the Musical auction, students at my school had to make a Suessical themed "pot" to auction off. This is the second one I made and the one I got to keep. Inspired by the coiling technique of making a pot, I kept the coils incompletely smudged together. (Normally, when using coils one flattens the coils together to make the flat walls of pottery.) Thinking about the organic look of the coils, I was once again reminded of the idea of a sealily. I then used more coils to make the tenticles, handle, and little spout. I then used the green glase to imitate the idea of algae, then used royal- and copper-blue for the rest to match as close as possible with the limited color section for glase.
