well when i got there it was damn obvious i wasnt welcome a guy in a yellow jacket came over to me as i drove into the site and said in a very posh voice "and what is this supposed to be?" too which i replied as i do " its a car bud"
anyway he waved me in and they put me in a back corner of the show ground along with a rally preped MK1 escort and the meanest MK1 cortina ive ever seen! turbocharger intercooler all on a 2 litre pinto woohooo! anyway i digress
we where there the only customs in the show and the other two guys got pissed off at being shoved in the corner away from the pretty shiny (never seen tarmac) classic car buffers and left fairly early! i was cheesed off too after hearing a remark from some flat capped twat saying " it was probably a nice car once" so i decided to leave too only i was blocked in! after asking 3 times for the guy in front to move his e-type and the guy behind to move his ford fairlane (which would ahve looked better flamed with a supercharger sticking out the bonnet in my opinion) i got fed up asking so though hmmmm offroad vehicle and im in a manor houses grounds hmm look an escape route across there perfect lawn! thatll do! :o) the rest as they say is history
the only down side was that i had to come home and clean the car inside and out as i pulled away from the site i took a look back at MR shinys bright sparkly ford fairlane to see it caked in mud and bits of grass .....oooopps
should have let me out when i asked eh!
