| Grad Night ~~~ The Sequel --- August 10, 2002 --- |
| STAY TUNED FOR THE PHOTOS --- in the mean time... Date: Saturday, August 10, 2002 Time: 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm (for some folks...) Where: House of Blues (HOB) in Downtown Disney -- Anaheim, CA Tim Andersen It is easy for most of us (myself included) to show up the night of the reunion, have a great time, and not realize all the volunteering work that went into the evening. Hopefully these many messages will convey our thanks and gratitude for making our 30th a real success!! Chuck Hughes The Reunion was an outstanding success! The picnic was great as well even if somewhat subdued because most of us were in a state of "recovery" from the night before. The Reunion was good for me in a host of ways. What I noticed, speaking for myself, was the spontaneous natural affection I had for the people there. It was more than simple nostalgia and sentimentality. I felt I belonged with these people because I grew up with many of them and shared my life with them at very important stages. They were from "the neighborhood." Naturally, this "experience" of mine took place in the context of an ever increasing quantity of alcohol in my system. But that was not what caused it. On reflection, I think some of my best social times occurred while I was in High School, and I've never forgotten it. It was wonderful to see my close friends, not so close friends, and even people I didn't care for or didn't know at all when I was at IKE. It's great to have reestablished touch with people I haven't seen for 30 years. The whole experience was deeply satisfying. Barbara (Canaday) Mordue Everyone who helped put the reunion together did a great job. I'm so glad I had the chance to get together with everyone. Thanks again for a great job! Cathy (Wilson) Poloynis I never got a chance to talk to you at the party. Everytime I caught your eye either someone was talking to me or you were busy with something. The night was really fun. I wonder when the video tape will be for sale. There were so many people there, it was really great. Thank you for spending so much time on it. Judy (Matty) and I had dessert at the Rain Forest afterward and then bought fuzzy pink house slippers to walk to our cars...a true sign of age, comfort before beauty! Nancy (Loveland) Graham Just want to say thank you for putting the reunion together. It was the best one yet. Since the point is to talk and catch up, it was nice not to compete with music, a DJ, or a long organized program. Hope you were able to have a good time. Paul and Karen (Hastain) Crise Paul and I want to thank you for all of your hard work. The reunion was lots of fun. We were so glad to see Jim an Teresa Cole. Jeff Zygutis Just wanted you to know I had a GREAT time at the reunion. Caught up with many people that I haven't seen in 30 years. Again, I had a wonderful time with alot of old friends and I won't miss the next reunion. Phil Starbuck Thanks again for the committee putting together a wonderful reunion. The venue was perfect, I am sure that everyone had a wonderful time, even with a few tears and some mussed makeup it was very nice. |
