Their ministry is for the veterans, they really have a heart for vets. The company she is referring to was going to print 10,000 Bibles for just the cost of printing (if memory serves). They had been using this other company who was also doing it for cost, but it was a tad more expensive. They are good folks and live a very frugal lifestyle. They don't have a dog house with an air conditioner. In fact, I don't think they have an air conditioner in their humble abode! Bottom line is they need money for the bibles. If they get enough to put a couple bucks in the gas tank...that's great. However, they would be thrilled to get help for the bibles. If you can help out, please do so. Please forward this message to anyone you feel may be able to help with prayer and/or money to pay for the bibles. They are REAL Christians... to the bone, to the soul. They walk the walk and talk the talk. There is no room for compromise in their lifestyle. Totally sold out on Christ! First of all we need some serious prayer because a door has been slammed in our faces so we are looking for windows to open. The company that was so graciously going to do these bibles for us found out legally they can't do them. Seems you need a federal permit to print the bible and it can take a year to get one. Anyway they have been working with the company we get them from now and she is getting the cost down but it's still going to be more than we have. We are going to have to get some BIG backers so we are going to need all the testimonies we can get as to the effect this bible has on people. We are really going for the brass ring this time. On Wed., Ray and Bob are going to Parker Ranch, who is affiliated with Terry Bradshaw and sometime next week Ray and Steve are going to see about getting one of the bibles to Garth Brooks. He is going to be reading to the kids in Salina schools and Steve and Linda are very involved with the school so these are 2 good windows. You know I never like asking for money in fact I hate it but let's face it you can't do this job without it. We are getting the support of one church now on a weekly basis but it's a very small church (which by the way is going to grow by leaps and bounds because it's doing God's will). Other than that we have no support. You all know we never sell these bibles as God has instructed us not to. So that's where we're at.
