Noel Neill is a sweeter Lois Lane, whom she first plays in the two 15-chapter movie serials in 1948 and 1950. Here she is with Kirk Alyn in a scene from chapter 6 of the first serial SUPERMAN. (In 1978, both are cast in brief cameos as the train passenger parents of an adolescent Lois Lane during the Smallville sequence of Superman: the Movie as young Clark runs home from school. Alyn is out of frame in the film's final cut, but Neill is clearly evident. In 2006's Superman Returns, Neill plays Gertrude Vanderworth, the dying widow who signs over her vast fortune to Lex Luthor.)
