| KRYPTONITE 2001 THE LAST EPISODE Saturday 31 March 2001 Traps Bar Join the party with Dj Krypt spinning the wildest anthems ... the last kryptonite gig for the year unless DJ Krypt returns for another appearance !! |
| Kryptonite has been a revolution in the dance industry in Fiji and it has truely proved itself with the support from the Traps management. Kryptonite started off as an idea over a few drinks and a lot of door knocking that a gig was struck after which Kryptonite was a success story. It had started in Traps in February 2000 and DJ Krypt also appeared for a gig at the Wet Mongoose at Port Denarau, a first for the west side to experience an open air dance party. To kick the year 2001 off after a huge response in 2000, the Birthday Bash was started off with slamming tracks and grooves. Also featured on the night was guest, DJ Ivor from Nadi. Yet again the night had lived up to its name with a groovy crowd who just kept going all night with the pulsating beats featuring a live house remix done by DJ Krypt on the favourite "Vakarau" track by the local group Black Rose. Many giveaways were thrown out on the night for those who had dressed up for the event and just could not stop the stomping on the dance floor with their arms waving in the air to get hold of a Kryptonite Tshirt, the Promo CD mixed by Dj Krypt and the funky kryptonite lighters and glowsticks.. We can say that Kryptonite has created an industry which has a lot of potential not only for progressive house and tech-trance but also for other genre of music. The likes of other dj's, DJ Ivor, Groovy Dee, Funky Doe and local boy DJ Kerisa all have a passion and their own style. But the time has come for Kryptonite to stop ... well at least in Fiji. DJ Krypt is moving to Australia and the last gig will be on Saturday 31 March 2001 at Traps Bar. That wasyour last chance to see what Kryptonite was all about unless DJ Krypt returns for another appearance sometime during the year. |
