Spot the Superman
As Dazzle Productions, we shoot and produce Television Projects; commercials, infomercials and TV programs. As we completed our 1st Broadcast TV Production (something that will go on the air) we noticed that a Superman Logo had accidently shown up on-screen. Being a Superman Fan, it seemed like a bit of a "signature" to what we produced. So, after that, we always looked for a way to sneak a super-reference in somewhere. Sometimes it was quite a challenge. Sometime is just "fell in our laps"... Here's what we've done so far (most pics are Video Captures).
Our Fist Infomercial...
"
Koolatron Filter Cool"
We shot a "Taste Test" in a store and one of our participants was wearing a  SuperMan Logo Shirt.
This is how it started.
"Snow Butler" TV Ad
You can barely make it out, but one of the actors is wearing a Superman Logo Pin on his coat collar
"Koolatron Cooler" Infomercial
In one scene, an actress carries a box into a room (the story is that she is in the middle of a moving), Up in the top left-hand corner, among all the stuff, is a Inflatable Superman
"Saturen Elliptical Fitness System" Infomercial
As an actress uses the fitness equipment, clothes hang ona closet door behind her, one is a Superman T-Shirt.
"WonderfulBuys.com" TV Commercial
This one got challenging. In this scene customers are lined up waiting to be served at a fictional store (thus showing that on-line shopping is so much better). The Cashier is wearing a name-tag; Note the name on it. (Its hard to read, so I've shown a scan of the prop name tag)
"Remote Dimmer Switch" Infomercial
The two hosts stand outside their child's bedroom. The Product being sold, among other things, is a timer and will turn off the child's lamp after he is asleep. Note the lamp.
"Canadian Long Drive Championship" was a one-hour TV program we produced and was aired on TSN (The Sports Network) here in Canada a number of times (It was our first Network TV Show). It was tricky to get something in this one, but we slipped it in.. in the End Credits.
(as an aside, MacKenzie is our 2 year old son, who has a very cool superman room )
"Mowss" TV Commercial
The Mowss was a wrist-support for people using computer mouses; so lots of shots of people at computers. One fellow had Beppo the super-monkey on his screen in shot.
"Ab Sonic: The Truth"
This was a TV Ad for one of the 'infamous' Ab-Belts... but it started with an aknowledgement of the controversy and went on to say that the belts were not a "cure-all" weight-loss device. The Ad opens with two newspaper stories  floating by on-screen, one has the by-line visable (see lower pic), 'hard-core' Superman fans will recognize the name.
