Pennay Johnson

Pennay is a native of California, having grown up on her grandparents' ranch in Paso Robles with cats, horses and farm animals. You may read about this same ranch in many of her stories.
Pennay's love and understanding of animals is apparent in her writing. There is always a cat lurking somewhere in every story. She has published a Short Story Collection and finished a novel, The Seventh Link. She is always working on a new story. Many of her short stories have been published in past issues of Reflections of the Kern.
She also enjoys playing the mandolin and tenor guitar at music jams with friends.
Pennay and her husband, Don, along with their three cats reside on their five-acre ranch in the Kern River Valley, a quiet community surrounding Isabella Lake in California.
