switches_______________
switches look really good when ur footworkin really fast,
but they require u to be able to footwork counterclockwise and clockwise
there r many ways to do switches, and how good they look all depends on ur creativity.
there r a couple that r pretty common, and i'll list those here. i'll also give sum guidelines
for creatin sum of ur own
- on the 4th step of the 6 step, when u put ur right foot down to ur left, u can quickly push off
with ur right foot in the other direction and start footworkin the other way
- on the 2nd step of the 6 step, when u put ur right foot behind ur left, u can sorta kick it under
ur left and twist ur body. stay on ur left foot as a pivot, and keep twisting over till u hafta stop
urself from hittin the ground with ur left hand
- any point during ur footworkin where both ur feet/legs end up right next to each other is fertile
ground for a switch. instead of doin the next step, just carry the motion of this step a lil further and
all of a sudden bust out in the other direction
- if ur footworkin gets quick enough, and u find urself literally jumping from step to step, try to
kick ur feet in the opposite direction in the air, opposite of the direction they should be goin. this
will give u a good start on footworkin the other direction
- this is a good guideline for switches u can thro in at any time of ur footworkin - any time u find
urself bringin a foot close to ur body, bring it all the way in, so ur either just about sitting on it
or so u look like a runner on the starting line gettin ready to blast forward. the other leg should be
pretty much straight and travelling in a circular direction around uwhen u bring the other 1 in. kick
that foot in the opposite direction and it will cause the 1 u brought in to follow it
