Czesław Niemen (1939-2004) - very popular especially in the sixties and sevienties (1964-1980 was chosen by the publicity as the best singer in Poland). For a long time he was a spiritual leader of the Polish youth. However, the iritating manner of behaviour on the stage and the unconventional way he dressed caused that he has always had the same number of hot-headed fans as of adversaries.
