HISTORY

          Prodigy- glories fourth from Essex (England). How band was formed? Two friends Keith Flint and Leeroy Thornhill have first time meat Liam as DJ in one club. They wanted to Liam gave them tape with some stuff on it, and Liam stored on side B on the tape some his stuff. When those two hear that they were blown up, and they offer

Liam to jump and and dance with his music. Liam accepted that and in that time he just signed contract with XL recordings. Then their friend meet them with Maxim Reality on their first gig in east London. And on that way was borned - Prodigy. Also in the time when band was formed, they have fifth member - Sharky. Later, she have left the band.

         Their instrumental rave hymns are coming on top-tables. It start talking about them and their live performance. They are biggest attraction on 90's. Their first award was in 1994. MTV Europe award for best "dance". Then came Firestarter as single and after that Prodigy have been first on all top-lists in England and all around the world. After Firestarter Prodigy have released Breathe, also single in beginning. Breathe was first on all top-lists, just as Firestarter was and Breathe was Prodigy's most seller release in their career. History repeats: again they won MTV Europe award for best "dance"!

         Prodigy members are satisfy by building their career, and they don't want to be too popular and famous. Here what Liam says in one interview: " Oasis are most powerful British band, and Spice girls are also one of the famous bands. Prodigy aren't that and we don't want it. We want to be band which creates things that don't like to people. Let me say on this way: I asked one day my father does he like Oasis and he told me- Yes. That is that what didn't functional in us. Everyone love Oasis. I don't want to everyone like Prodigy. We are to hard for some people, but that way should be. And it is good because of that".

In last couple years came guitarist Gizz. He is not real Prodigy member, but he is with Prodigy on their gigs, and his good guitar playing Liam use in some songs. Live member actually. At the end of 1999. Gizz left the band. Few months later, same thing Leeroy have done (see full report here). Another live member of the band is Keiron Peeper - drummer.

      Liam Howlett- the brain of band, he is quite shy, and he is most in his music and production. He is so called genius on the keyboards, and what else to say about him, he maded all Prodigy songs, so you see what to say about him!

     Leeroy Thornhill- main dancer in band. He is aunt of the band, other members confess to hhim when have personal problems or frustrations ( I don't know is this true, but I read that in one of music magazines).

     Keith Flint- Man known to everyone by his own look like, his earring in nose, on his tongue. Also he has anywhere known hair style. He is man full of energy, but in one magazine I saw that he is very interested in plants and flowers (hard to believe ha). Until he is in bath he has in walkman tape of Pink Floyd. Who knows, maybe this is truth!

     Maxim Reality (Kit Palmer)- For older people known like monster of man, but for Prodigy people he is the men without Prodigy could not be imagined. His live performance is well known to all Prodigy fans.
