| CAPTURE | Capture: To overcome the paralysis induced by the alien harvester prior to an abduction attempt, adrenalin is required; specifically nor-adrenalin. You're laying in bed, unable to move, paralyzed with fear. Pursue the fear, harvesting the fear or flight instinctive response within your hindbrain. They are unable to control you there: M-RNA inhibitrace works within the limbic system. Get pissed off, really pissed off. Open your eyes and attack. See how round their eyes can be when they're scared? Strike between the eyes as hard as you can, driving what is the alien's counterpart to the occipital bone straight in. Leaping from your bed should add sufficient force to your blow. Down goes the alien. Notice how much taller the abductor is than the lab technician. That's right, there's only one. Everyone assumes there are many. Not too many people really remember abduction, no worries. Containment: Take away his wand (it's male). Care is taken to touch the handle, not the shard. Touch his occipital depression with the shard. You now own the alien. Remain full of rage at all times. Press your face against his. Harvest your anger. Growl. Fill him with fear. Open your mind and receive surrender. At this point you have a trump card and a decision to make. As long as he lives, you have access to his mind. Harvesters are not part of the hive mind, nor do they want to be. His will to survive is greater than his loyalty to the all. You could let him go. Strike his temples softly, releasing the occipital ridge and hand him his wand. You have imprinted the alien, for as long as he lives, his knowledge is yours. He will disappear and harvest another in your place. Here's the crux: there's something about your mental signature that draws harvesters to you. There will be more, and one may get the drop on you and then you're in the program, so after you imprint one or two it's time to think deterrent strategy. Aliens are damn tasty. Once you get a reputation as an alien eater, you move beyond being the challenge who has yet to be imprinted to a being whom is feared. Trust me. Eat a few round eyes and you dissapear completely from the harvest rotation. There's no point in inflicting needless pain, but you have to keep him alive so the other harvesters can feel his fear as you skin him. Pithing: UNDER CONSTRUCTION . . . |
