woodstock

1970 ***** 185 mins. (Director's Cut 225 mins.)

Woodstock. Three Days of Peace and Music. This Academy Award-winning documentary is a masterpiece in every sense. This is so much more than a documentary. It is a film that captured the complete spirit of a time. All sides of the hippie generation are contained in this magnificent film. There is, even, a story to this film. The concert is the central character. There is footage showing the location before the concert. We see the stage being built. We see the trials and tribulations along the way that could have ended the concert. We see the struggle, the conflict. We see the end of the concert. Woodstock will live on forever through this wonderful film directed by Michael Wadleigh.
