ROCKY

1976 **** 119 mins.

This classic boxing film is the landmark film of its star, Sylvester Stallone. His own fight to get this film made is just as, if not more so, inspirational than the film itself. Not much can really be said about the story itself, for it's rather straightforward. The reasons this film does not get five stars from me are: 1) it's a bit too long and 2) the cinematography is sub-par. Otherwise, be sure not to miss this film classic.
