1995 **** 95 mins.
This is Power Rangers the way they should be. No crazy crap like Turbo, Zeo, or Dino Thunder. This is the original Power Rangers in their first film. This film is nothing short of action-packed excitement and adventure as the Rangers battle the worst enemy of them all: Ivan Ooze (Paul Freeman). They must go in search of the power of the ancient Ninjetti in order to restore their Command Center and beloved leader from the evil ways of Ivan Ooze. This is a step above the kid's television series because it has a more adult appeal to it. The musical accompaniment rocks and the comedic elements continue to hold up. After I bought the DVD and watched again, expecting to have my opinion be lower, it was still just as good as I remember it. While it's not first rate five star entertainment, by any means, it is still a fantastic film experience for movie watchers of every age.
Rated PG for martial arts violence and sci-fi action.
