1972 ** 95 mins.
This sequel to the cult classic Willard has its good points, but is mostly sheer garbage. Rats terrorize a city, but the leader befriends a young boy. Some parts are genuinely horrifying, and some parts are genuinely touching. Mostly, though, the film is just, well, crap. A guilty pleasure at best. The title song by Michael Jackson is a pop classic that was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
Rated PG.
