triskan,or triskalin is a celtic symbol used by several different groups of people. the symbol in all groups has a center triangle with three branches,or arms legs exet. for the earthy folks it means earth wind and sea,the christians use it as a symbolic charm,the father ,son,and the holy ghost. it was also used by celtic crusaders as a symbol of vengance,they called it the trichosa,gaylic for ,three legs,or swift. maccronin used this symbol on his war banner,he was quick into battle and was known as three legs to his men. |
