RACE: Another classic Bristol race was held this past Sunday. Fourteen cautions, spins, bad luck and good. Unfortunately, points leader Rusty Wallace was caught up in the bad luck. He won the pole, led the most laps of the race, led at halfway, but with about 100 laps to go, his engine lost 1 and a half cylinders. Later in the race he was behind Ricky Rudd and something came off Rudd's car. Rusty ran over it, blew a tire and hit the wall. However, Rusty Wallace is still the points leader by one point over his teammate, Jeremy Mayfield. Dale Earnhardt was never much of a factor to win the race. Almost at the end, Jeremy Mayfield got in trouble and barely hit the wall. He finished 12th instead of 4th. Jeff Gordon had not led any laps until the last 63. He took the lead with a fast pit stop and never let it go. He held on to win the Food City 500 over Terry Labonte by 0.583sec. Congratulations
