RACE: Well, the million dollars will have to wait for another day. Rusty Wallace and Bobby Labonte came VERY close, finishing 2nd and 3rd. Gordon passed them both to win the race. Mark Martin was strong throughout the race, but at the end he wasn't able to compete for the win, finishing 4th. The track changed throughout the race causing teams to have to try to make their cars better. During the final caution, Gordon put on four tires while the 5 cars ahead of him put on two. His four tires were the best, they propelled him to first position within a matter of laps to win his 3rd race of the season.
