State of Trance....

"Passport Kingdom Of The Netherlands"

This Trance Titan delivers...

Superb set here. Heck, his own personal works (Galaxia / Sublime remix) are enough to buy the product. Galaxia is probably my favorite work of the first CD - nothing more dreamy, full of energy, yet taking me back to vintage memories pertaining to science fiction and starry-eyed wonder. Other than that, there were plenty of excellent tunes to boot - and listening to the whole set in it's entirety is sure to leave you feeling as if you've danced with your greatest love in the midst of nebula-paradise.

The prowess is obvious as each and every track paints a delicate layer on this canvas of emotions. A must buy for any fan of the genre. The final song "A Place Called Home" was the ideal way to cap it all off - a fine song by JPL and well choosen to be mixed into the set.

There are more vocal tracks in the second CD, but I personally like the fact that this set is mostly instrumental. Asides from personal preference on instrumental, it makes tracks with vocals all the more special.

Amazing

Whoever could give any of Ferry Corsten's work a bad review does not know anything about good trance music and good DJing because this ablum is amazing and Doctor Trance has no idea what he is talking about. I had the privalege of seeing derry corsten live a few weeks ago and saw one of the most impressive performances only rivaled by live performances I have witnessed from DJ Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren. These are DJs who can make a mediocre track sound awesome and there is no let down on this 2 disc set.

Ferry Corsten is the man

I was lucky enough to see Ferry spin earlier this summer and was even luckier enough to shake his hand. This man is one of the best DJ's IMO not only because of his excellent DJing talents but mainly because he can work the crowd so great that its like he's right next to you in the club goin crazy too. He was signing autographs and shaking peoples hands during the middle of his set, not to mention for a good long bit afterwords. Now I have a bone to pick with you "doctor trance", alright 1) Creamfields, ISOS4, a A State of Trance were all superbly mixed with exceptional track selections. if you knew anything about DJing at all you'd know that 9 7+ minute tracks takes up enough time to fill one CD. maybe it's just too hard to explain from a DJ's point of a view to a listener, but there's reason behind every DJ's logic. He didn't "squeeze" 9 tracks onto disk 2 it was simply the start of his next set, if you want to call it that. Now I do agree with the fact that Acosta's release was amazing, but yet again if yo u really knew all this about trance you'd know that Acosta spins different kinds of trance than Corsten. Sorry "Doctor Trance", this is your professor speaking, and I give you an F.
