State of Trance....

"George is On"

Worth it just for Dreams

deep dish at their best. the Dreams track will blow you away. Every track is unique though and brings something new to the genre.

Say hello

I'm not a big fan of house music but after I heard samples of Deep Dish's latest album "George is On", I knew I had to get the album. "George is On" kicks off with the mid-tempo track "No Stopping For Nicotine". I like the combination of guitars and dance beats. Ok song but "Sacramento" would have been better opening track with its funky house beats. "Flashdance" is killer dance track. It is easily one of my favorite songs on the album. The song has a off the wall guitar hook that makes any song by Basement Jaxx and Daft Punk pale in comparison. If this song doesn't make you want to hit the dance floor, then you are out of your mind. Same with the equally catchy "Say Hello". I am not really a Stevie Nicks fan but the duo does an interesting mix of her song "Dreams" which actually works. The most interesting track on the album is the Deep Dish vs. Dire Straits "Flashing For Money". It is basically Deep Dish giving the Dire Straits classic "Money For Nothing" a remix treatment with a bit of re-working on the lyrics. Excellent way to close out the album.

The bonus cd is filled with remixes of "Flashdance" and "Say Hello" which all are good. I didn't find one remix that I didn't like. Normally when bonus discs filled with remixes are included, there are only a few remixes I like and most I find rather tedious and boring. Not here. Overall, I dug "George is On". It is one of the best dance albums of 2005.

Not Usually into Techno

l This is not my usual kind of music. I only purchased the cd because I'm a HUGE Stevie Nicks fan and I heard that she recorded new vocals for the 'Dreams' remix which appears on this album. The new fast-paced remix is great. Stevie's new vocals are out of this world, and for just the one song, the price of the cd was worth it. However, the whole cd is good! There are songs w/vocals, and some without. It's a collection of Techno songs, with a great beat-good for background sound at a party, or in the car for a long drive
