DAY 19

WHATS ON:  Today, the students are being shown the film assignment done by the teacher.  This is meant to set an example to the students of where their films should and it is meant to further engage them in the project.  Also, the students will be asked to identify what techniques the teacher used in the film.  When the screening is over, the students are invited to ask the filmmaker questions about how she created certain segments or effects in the film. This lesson is meant to motivate the students, and to help them to see how easily certain effects were accomplished.

WHAT TO DO:  When students walk into the room, the television is set up in front, and the teacher will explain that she is about to share with her students the film project she created. a short description of the assignment will be given, and the students will watch the movie.  The students are asked to record the use of certain techniques throughout the film and how they were used.

When the film is over, the students are asked to identify the film techniques used in the production, and the students are open to ask questions about how the techniques were implemented or how certain segments were edited.  This is to display to the students what they are capable of producing, if they haven't already realized for themselves.

The last segment of class is devoted to the students meeting with their film assignment groups. If necessary, students are allowed to go with their groups to the computer room to work on editing their projects.
