"I'm sure that me and my sword will prove ourselves most worthy of moving on to the next round. " Trunks and Link both assumed fighting stances. They burst towards each other and locked swords. Then Link slipped out of the lock and swung his sword at Trunk's head. Trunks was hardly able to counter the move. Then Trunks charged up a small fire ball and fired it at Link. Link tried to block it with his shield but the blast completely destroyed it and knocked Link backwards. Then Link pulled out his hookshot. He fired it behind Trunks like he had done to Leonardo. Trunks did not move an inch. The hookshot began pulling Link towards Trunks. A small smile grew on Trunks face as he slashed his sword down and cut right through the chain. Link was still flying towards Trunks, but now he was out of control. Trunks jumped in front of him and planted his knee right in Link's elfish face. Link did not get discouraged though and brought his sword up to clash blades once more. Link knew that once again he was at the hands of a better swordsman. He would have to rely on the other weapons he had aquired during his journeys. He pulled out his bow and jumped behind Trunks. With an open shot Link fired a fire arrow at Trunk's back. There was a small explosion and Trunks was knocked to the ground. Trunks stood up and wiped a small trace of blood from the corner of his mouth. "It's time we end this." Trunks said. "Agreed." replied Link. Both warriors stood at opposite sides of the arena. Then they charged each other with uncomparible speed. Both warriors slashed. They both stood motionless for a moment, still poised from the last attack. Then Link let out a gasp of pain and fell to his hands and knees clutching his blood stained chest. Trunks walked up behind him. He would soon put Link out of his pain, forever. He positioned his sword over Links back, "time to send you on your way to the next dimension." He said just before he let the sword drop, piercing through Links heart. |
