Welcome to the Skyline page of my site. I'm focusing on the Nissan Skyline GT-R series for right now. It's my absolute favorite car series (no rice burner jokes here please). I'll be adding specs for other cars eventually. The Skyline has undergone several reengineering efforts. The Original GT-R was in production until the early 70's. It was retired until 1990 when Nissan unveiled the GT-R R32. From there history has made it apparent that the Skyline has found a place for itself. The various yearly improvements have been augmented by concerted , professional, design modifications. The Skyline R400 was a special production of GT-R R33's (99 produced) modified by NISMO, the Nissan Motor Sports team. It contains a RB-400 engine that, as the name implies, produces around 400hp. The personal variations are countless due to the highly flexible and modification friendly Skyline. A 950hp Skyline is possible with enough money. Here are some of the specs for the base GT-R models. Also the base models all have a V-spec engine variant that adds some weight and torque to them. Unfortunately this year ,2002, sees the end of the GT-R series once again. Nissan has decided to discontinue the Gt-R. This time in favor of a new design concept. The GT-8. If you want to know what this one looks like go find an Infiniti G35. Yes they imported it to the US and no it's not a real Skyline. Apparently they want all thier cars to look the same. But hopefully Nissan will continue its advancement of automobile technology. And who knows, maybe the Skyline Gt-R will resurface again in a new, more advanced, incarnation.

Nissan Skyline GT-R R32

This is a GT-R 32. Notice the distinctive grill pattern at the front lip of the bonnet. That helps distinguish between the GT-R32 and a GTS-t (unless you're on the road, then you'll know from the taillights as they disappear on the horizon).

Nissan Skyline GT-R R33

This is the GT-R 33. This model began production in 1995. It has the same engine as the R32 but the upgrades in suspension and handling have made it a much better sports car overall. By far its the best bet in being affordable (for a Skyline) right now. At least in that you'll get a high performance sports car for around $45,000. And I mean High Performance. The turbo charged, All wheel drive market is currently cornered by the Subaru Impreza WRX and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII. But the Skyline GT-R has it all too, and nowhere near as many of 'em on the street. This particular version is my favorite of the GT-R's. You'll even notice there is one in the hit movie "The Fast and the Furious" (the Yellow car in the group).

Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

Even more advances in handling, torque output, and the suspension system have taken the Skyline to a whole new level of performance. The GT-R 34 is one of today's premier sports cars. But with all that awesome power comes a hefty price tag. Around $60k in Japan and closer to $95k for a 2002 R-34 V-Spec II in the US. But that does include the 20" wheels, Six Speed manual transmission, and an on-board touch-control screen for various inputs like Fuel/Air mixture and boost pressure. Also, if you want a reference for this one too, there is a silver one in "2 Fast 2 Furious"

Specifications:

Cool aren't they? This is just the Beginning. I will be adding more about my favorite car as I learn more and find more cool things to share with you all.
