We see before us the naked torso of Branden Romans. Both he and his love, Imogen Love, starred in my film Temple on a Stick.

I had just shot the nude and then I said, "It's your turn bozo." Subsequently, I painted the best nude I had ever done.

The still photos that make this painting possible were acquired when the landmark of all Seattle movie theaters (the Harvard Exit) was not looking and we snuck up to the lady's lounge area and shot Branden before the gigantic Hitchcock Rebecca poster.
