I think everyone is going berserk about this whole UC entrance crap. Of course the system is excessively intricate and for idiots like me it's nearly impossible to take part in it. However, if we pretend that this UC system is simple, we may be able to focus better in schoolwork instead of stressing out. I remembered talking to sam the other day, that UC is a monster and we, the highschool students, must gather weapons to defeat it. The UC monster would not attack until the 4th year in high school. During those 4 years, the student would gain experience points by taking sat tests and going to institutes, gathering weapons, (extracuricular activities, such as sports, volunteer work, etc..) and meeting new characters (for example, GLC, Interviewers, etc.)
Currently, i am only level 13, with my only extracuricular activities circumlocuting around tae kwon do. My GPA is $.%* and i have taken only 3 ap classes. My sat score is &%$#.  Since many of the viewers play the RPG (those tedious games where you level up and collect useless items) game, "world of warcraft", i will try to relate this material to the latter.
This is me in SAT game mode

Level: 13
weapon of choice: tae kwon do service hours, black belt certification, etc.
Sat score: *&%$
GPA: @#$%
UC to beat: UC Irvine
Health points: 400/400
attack points: 200/200
Inventory: nothing
This is Brandon Yamada in Game mode
Level: 99
Weapon of Choice: Key club, CIF, recommendation, ignorance
Sat score: 22 something
GPA: 3.98 (unweighted)
Universities to beat: Stanford, Berkeley, harvard, MIT, etc..
Health points: 10000000/1000000
Attack points: 9999999/9999999
Inventory: SAT IIs, Japan, brother
As you can see, Brandon's character dominates mine by statistics, appearance, and attitude. Had i diligently gathered points during the 4 years, i would be the insurmountable beast in the game mode that i am in real life.
