Mr. McGoo, a baby opossum was born blind.

Kritter Kamp successfully raised him to maturity.

Unable to be returned to the wild because of his disability, Mr. McGoo is now at home in a protected environment.

Polly

Polly, a female opossum carrying young babies, became injured in a trap. With damage to her nose from the trap, she and her babies were taken to KRITTER KAMP to recover. Thanks to KRITTER KAMP, Polly and her babies survived her injury.

Fortunately, Polly was able to raise her own babies. While continuing her recovery from her injury, ten newly born opossum babies were brought to KRITTER KAMP. Their mother had been killed, and the tiny babies were in need of a nurturing pouch. Polly became their surrogate mother, and raised a second family of joey's.

Polly's story made headlines in several newspapers including one in the Philadelphia Inquirer. You can read her story here.
