Here I am at the gig  (2003)- with my Alvarez Strat copy. - I've NEVER played a bad Alvarez!  :)
Do you have questions?  if so, please email them.  you might see your response posted here.

Q:  What are some of your favorite pieces and songs to play?
A:   I love Scott Joplin, so anything usually by him.  Also, of course, Collective Soul, Beatles, Paul Simon.  One of my current favorites is
"Joshua Is With Me Now" by Nelson.  Also, "April Breeze" by Jay Steele.  I do a solo acoustic version of "Satellite" by Collective Soul that I like.  Of course, no matter how complicated my life gets, I love to sit down and play "Romanza".  That was the first classical piece I ever learned (when I was about 8).  My father always loved it.  The last piece I ever played for my mother was Bach's "Prelude to the First Cello Suite", so I love that, for that reason.  I love Beethoven, so the Pathetique and Moonlight Sonata(s), I love.

Q.  What is the hardest piece you ever had to learn?
A.  Oh boy - that's a tough question - I did a rendition once of Stevie Wonder's
"Overjoyed" where the bottom string was tuned down to E flat.  That was  a challange!  Makes my left hand hurt just thinking about it...  lol

Q.  What is the easiest piece you ever learned?
A.
Venezuelan Waltz.  Learned that in 14 hours.  If you have ever listened to that piece, you should realize it's NOT an easy piece.  Yeah.  I'm quite proud of myself -- it's occassional, but it happens.  LOL

Q.  What is the first song you play on every new instrument you acquire?
A.
"Hey Jude".  Always.  :)  Then "Ode to Joy".  Then "December".

Q.  Did you ever think about quitting guitar?
A.  Sure!  Several times.  I have hit several musical plateaus throughout the years.  First time I wanted to quit, when I was about 14.  I think if you stick with something long enough, eventually you are going to run into that sort of thing.  Don't give up, though!  For me personally, I just can't give it up.  I've been playing since I was 5 years old.  I wouldn't know what else to do with myself.  lol

Q.  Tell us something interesting about yourself.
A.   I play mostly with my eyes closed.  Started out to be a stage fright thing -- it still is sometimes -- but then I wanted to see if I could really do it, just as a challenge.
