| Workmens Compensation Talk 19th October 2001 at the Sumbershire Business School The Workmens Compensation Talk was one of the first seminar organised by the HR Chat committee. We were fortunate to have an abled and competent legal advisor who have had about 5 years of experience in the courtroom fighting cases pertaining to Workmens Compensation. Participants found the course refreshing and informative. It was a rear experience indeed to hear real life cases of Workmens Comp. About 12 participants from various companies attended the seminar and the feedback they gave the committee was certainly encouraging. Cheers! to HR Chat as we find new ways to serve you better. |
| Our Archive The first ever activity organised by HR Chat was the luncheon held at the Grand Plaza Hotel. This time it was no longer an online forum but face to face. Members had a good time discussing HR Issues and was exchanging namecards. Members, do look out for more activities as in HR Chat, we always give our members the best of the best. | Termination, Dismissal & Retrenchment, 3rd May 2001 3rd of May saw more than 60 participants attending the workshop pertaining to Termination, Dismissal and Retrenchment delivered by Dilip Kumar, legal advisor to hrmatters21 and HR Chat. Kritsada opened the workshop with humor to break the ice with members. Many of the members were meeting Kritsada and Dilip for the very first time. The workshop soon kicked-off with a presentation followed by question and answers. "It was truly encouraging to see the training room filled to its brim" said one member who declined to be named. After the workshop, many participants stayed behind to discuss issues with Dilip and Kritsada. Kritsada was happy to see so many of them thanking him for organising the event. Members were delighted to hear legal issues from a lawyer. "We'll certainly have more talks for our members" said Kritsada, "Judging from this turnout, why not?". A predictable statement from the Co-founder, and I am sure he will succeed with more talks to come. By Fong Siew Lay |
