SEALS are involved in elite missions. The type of mission sometimes varies. SEALS can preform unconventional warfare, direct action, counter terrorism, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, information warfare, counter-drugs ops, personnel searchand rescue. SEALS can be very stealthy. Stealth allows SEALS to get the job done without much commocion. Other forces could not do this. SEALS unlike most can strike and return to the sea. SEALS can operate almost anywhere. Even in high snowy mountains or freezing waters. SEALS have taken part in the fallowing operations: Urgent Fury, Grenada, Just Cause, Panama, Desert shield/Desert storm, Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. SEAL missions aren't public but are very necassary. Like Petty officer Dan Warner said " The world would not be the same without the SEALS." |
