tomorrow
Once upon a yesterday
Today seemed like a lifetime away
With words unsaid and things undone
Opportunities to help someone
It seemed so free of pain and sorrow
Because yesterday today was tomorrow
A second chance to change what is
To form a cloud, to build a bridge
All that yesterday was not
To be what must, to be what ought
For tomorrow, anything's easy to try
Your mind envisions you touching the sky
But when it finally comes around
You find yourself still on the ground
Nothing accomplished, but that's okay
