this love
Lie in bed and dream away
Of everything I did today
What I did and what I said
Objects of joy and then of dread
Thoughts will visit, then pass by
Swifter than a butterfly
But one thing you will always find
In the foreground of my mind
A love profound, a love simplistic
It hardly even seems realistic
Words unspoken, eyes unseen
Yet love so great I want to scream
Before I fall asleep I pray
I find me in his arms some day
And every time I touch my lips
I wish that his were mine to kiss
And everything and every place
Makes me long for his embrace
My heart beats fast, I feel insane
Everytime I hear his name
Even a picture of him is efficient
At making my motor skills lackingly proficient
Call my crazy, call me dumb
I know that he must be the one
For only he is capable of
Stealing and keeping all of my love
I'm unable to feel love for anyone else
He took it and kept it all for himself
But one thing haunts me every night
Delirious excitement but paralyzing fright
What if the object of my deep affection
Sells my soul to eternal rejection?Poetry Central>>>
