Girls brushed 'til their figures are impossible
But that's okay, now they're watchable
Fast-foward through the monotony of day to day
Until you've fast-fowarded your life away
Turn on surroud sound from every wall
Plain old life is much too dull
Select a scene and live it again
This time you'll be a better friend
Everyone's witty and everyone smiles
The green grass goes on for miles and miles
"Boys will be boys" saves the puerile
Kids never punished for being a child
And whenever you need some time for yourself
You press the off button and do something else
For anyone who's a notch too loud
You simply turn the volume down
And when it all gets to your head
You use the mute button instead
It may sound perfect
It might sound fun
It probably sounds great for everyone
It seems amazing at the start
But soon you find it lacks a heart
