I have been so busy with rehearsals, I haven't had much time to garden. I weeded today (much needed!) in the front yard; gradually, the weeks in the side bed seem to be subsiding. I also fertilized the
roses, because I thought they could use a boost; I didn't even measure the food out. The two roses that I moved this spring seem to be thriving now, and have produced abundant new foliage. A few of the primroses in the front yard are blooming again (all white), which is surprising since their foliage seems to indicate it's too hot in that spot.

The
nasturtiums are blooming, mostly orange and one or two yellow right now.  Also blooming, of course, are all the roses (except the ones I moved this spring), snapdragons, cosmos, petunias, and blanket flower, helensflower.

A few weeks ago, I bought (for $20) a very large basket of fragrant fuchsia
petunias; it's gorgeous hanging in the porch!
