| Some of you may have come here expecting to find out how to make the person of your choice to fall in love with you. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this page is all about why you should NOT do a love spell on a specific person. First of all, casting a love spell on another is a way of controlling their self-will. Controlling someone's will is a form of harm. Remember the Wiccan Rede "an ye harm none..." Even if you think it is in the person's best interests to be with you, taking a person's will away is never better for them. It is difficult to be in love with someone who isn't with you, but a spell is not the answer. Second of all, even if you did cast the spell and they fall madly in love with you, you will always wonder if they love you because of YOU or because of the spell. Eventually you will feel cheated because they only love you artifically, not from their heart. And this is not in your best interests or theirs. Third, love spells have a uncanny way of backfiring. In ways you wouldn't even imagine. And this isn't just sometimes. It's part of the three-fold law the way they backfire. One last note: While it is not advisable, it is possible to do a love spell NOT on a specific person. Instead of directing it at a person, you ask for qualities you would like in a person. Now, this doesn't mean that you can just describe your beloved because even thinking their name directs the spell at them. This is why non-specific love spells are not advisable. You will almost certainly have the perfect someone in your mind, it is very difficult not to, especially when you are in love with them. So, it is wiser to stay away from love spells. Besides, if something is truly meant to be, it will be. And it won't need any help from you! :-) |
