Hometown:
Framingham, Massachusetts
Schooling:
I'm a student at Gettysburg College where I am a history major (trying
to focus on American history) and a secondary education minor. I
plan to graduate in May of 2002, and return to Gettysburg the following
fall to student teach for a semester.
I went to Marian High School in Framingham, Ma, where I graduated in 1998.
Before that I attended Walsh Middle School, Juniper Hill Elementary School,
and Dunning Elementary School, all in Framingham, also.
Interests:
When I'm not studying, I like to read, cook, hang out with my friends,
watch movies, chat online, and learn how to do cool things with the computer.
I'm involved in several groups on campus. I'm am currently the president
of Newman Association (a Catholic student activity and service group).
I am the Education Club historian. I'm also active in the College
Democrats and in Allies.
Why I
want to teach: I have always loved history, and learning about things
that happened in the past, and how people used to live. I want to
be able to share that with others. I also love working with kids,
so teaching is just the perfect way to combine the two.
My life
in a Nutshell: I grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts, where I still
live with my parents and my 'little' brother Andrew (age 16). I spent
many of my summers visiting my grandparents and other assorted relatives
in Oregon and in California. As a family, we were involved with the
local Ham Radio club, where we became liscensed ametuer radio operators,
and helped out with communications for many local events, including the
Boston Marathon. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

A special thanks to the folks at Nothern Spy. They make and post these great paper samples, which make awesome backgrounds! :-) Visit Northern Spy
