I saw the most amazing horse several years ago. I hadn't really heard of Curlies, so they peaked my interest. I went to the Hoosier Horse Fair, and they were there. Great, I thought. I'll be able to see one. What I saw amazed me. There was a Curly named Sparlock, doing second level Dressage. He is the most amazing moving horse I had ever seen. Well, right then and there I decided I was going to get my own. So I started my search, and I found Red. I couldn't be happier.. He is the love of life, besides my husband. We have competed and won Championships in Dressage and done some Jumping, which he loves. Now he just stands stud, because of my lack of time. He stills brings tears to my eyes when I watch him move, and think "wow" I own an amazing animal. He has seventeen babies on the ground, nine from non-Curly mares and eight from Curly mares, and all have Curls. Besides Curls, he throws horses with good confirmation and excellent temperaments. My sister when she was eight could ride him without trouble, she even jumped him. We are seen here at the Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio. We represent our breed there every year, and really enjoy doing so. Come see us, my friends, our Curlies, and myself would love to talk Curlies with you.
Red has a $500 stud fee for Curlies and a $250 for Draft and TB mares. Curly crosses are registered within the Interantional Curly Horse Organization. Curlies make great sporthorses, and Red's babies are very nice. His babies look a lot like him, with a little of mom thrown in. He seems to improve the movement of the mare bred. I haven't seen a mediocre moving baby out of him yet. He has crossed real well so far, with Appy's, Arabs, TB's and SSH's. I look forward to crossing him with other breeds. A.I. is available I do special deals to help keep the price down. I can board your mare here, or within reason Red does travel.
Red is out of The Red Baron ABC-227 and Blazing Velvet ABC-188.
