Since Sheridan is tired of the Crane name and all that goes with it, and since she wants badly to be a part of Luis life, she decides to live as the common folk do with out the Crane name or money. So with out telling anyone Sheridan goes to a smaller town and takes a job as a waitress. She goes by the name of Sherrie. There she makes new friends, encounters strange situations and struggles through what it is like being a working girl. Along with the she takes a room in a boarding house and lives on just what she makes. This life to her is strange and not to happy but she wants to be known to Luis for her hard work not just the spoiled rich girl he has always taken her for.
Sheridan gets in a car crash after a heated fight with Luis. She gets amnesia and makes her way to a small town. There she is taken in by an older couple who own a small resteraunt/diner. She can not remember her name or where she is from just that she loved someone in the past. As she struggles to adjust to her new life, Luis finds her car deserted . He goes on a journey to find her feeling guilty at the fight they had. Later he finds out he is not the only people looking for her. Again Sheridan is in danger as she is persued by someone who wants to kidnap her for some resentment they have against the Crane family. This person had adjusted the brakes of the car that had led Sheridan to her fate, and caused her accident. When Luis and Hank go to the diner, it is only Hank that sees Sheridan. On a split decision he tells Luis she is not there. Later to come back and try to persuade Sheridan to date him and become close to him figuring he is the man for her and she dosen't remember Luis anyway. But in the end Luis finds out about the kidnapper and stops him, finds out about Hank his ex friend, and goes back to the diner. After trying to speak to Sheridan, Luis loses his cool and Sheridan's new friends at the diner try to throw him out. As he is leaving he is begging Sheridan to remember him, remember THEM and at the last second she does and they are in each others arms once again!!
