SUMMARY: |

There are two new types of laws that are taking effect this Saturday to crack down on underage drinking. "One is a law making it illegal to serve alcohol to underage guests in one's home, unless their parents (or spouse) are present." ("Underage Drinking") The article goes on to say that, "it makes id illegal to do something that no responsible adult should be doing anyway: serving alcohol to minors who are no their own children." ("Underage Drinking") This is a very true statement. The law basically gives a parent permission to give alcohol on their watch. There will be many loopholes with this law. |

The second law regarding this issue is one that will make teens think twice about consuming any alcohols. The will think about the consequences. The law will cause the teen to loose his or her license for anywhere from 6 months up to a year, a fine and a community service sentence. ("Underage Drinking") |
