About to go see Dogma with Pete. I've been looking foward to seeing it for a while, but it means that I have had to give the Glory game a miss. Lack of funds this week. Shame.
When I get back I will write a piece entitled "The Importance of Being Chuggy" just to raise the lads spirits a touch.

DOGMA DOGMA DOGMA!!!!
Two angels Bartleby and Loki have been cast out of heaven, the reason for this is Loki after spending many years as God's avenging angel of death was convinced by his friend Bartleby (during a post-genocidal kegger [all the first born sons of Egypt]) that killing in God's name was not a cool thing.
Loki throwing down his flaming sword gives God the finger and quits, God angry at the two disgruntled angels banishes them to Wisconsin for all eternity. He also makes it so future angels can't hold their liquor (literally). Any time an angel in this movie tries to drink a beer or something they spit it all over themselves.
This film examines and rips apart the philosophies of organised religion and the importance of faith. In a sense I guess it also acknowledges that each of us has a certain path in life that we are predestined to take.
Great film, with superb performances from Alan Rickman as Metatron - the voice of God, Jason Mewes as Jay the stoner phrophet and the delicious Jason Lee as Azrael.

God helps those...
Apparently all good things come to those that wait.. What I wanna know is, how long must I wait? I mean is there a set time frame which I must wait before all these good things will be bestowed upon me? What is an ample time period? A year? Two years? A decade? Will I get all the good things as one big lump sum of good, or will they trickle down according to when I started waiting for them? I am still waiting for the fluro pink ankle socks (not the green ones MUM) that I asked for in 1986, but they still havent come yet - and dammit they're just socks! I've recently started waiting for something 10 million trillion times bigger than that, i.e. BUG, when will I be getting him? Prolly sometime in 2017...around June methinks...
Thinking about starting one of those "send me a dollar" scams...

Checkers
There is a gentle autumn breeze blowing. I'm looking foward to winter.. Cold and pale. Its timeless in the way it captures the insanity of a season. I am feeling very bleek and delusional, as the smell of burning photographs wafts up to my window and makes my sheets reek. Nothing seems to make much sense. Killer bees, 2 down. Swarms. Such an interesting concept, what a way to die. Anyone for a game of checkers?

I went to the Art Gallery today. Spent an hour just wandering and gazing upon all these wonderful musings. My favourite piece was an oil painting called "Droving at Sunset".
I was in Perth for about 5 hours, just wandering around, looking at people, walking into shops and looking at things that I can't afford.. I went into Kakulas Bros and smelt the coffee beans and olive oil. My favourite smell in a shop.
Going out tonight. Going to the Stammo - meeting Dom and some of the old crew. Should be fun.
