Whispers of Wind

On whispers of wind and shadows they've sinned. Trying to find a place to call home. They go on their way during night, during day, seeking and searching for a safe place to be. They go on without asking, it's their feelings they're masking, while constantly they get shunned and constantly they get scorned. They didn't ask to feel out of place or to be placed against the whole human race. They never asked to live on the streets or run from everyone else's rage. At night while they sleep, the weather turns cold. All are so young, but all seem so old. As they stand on the street corner waiting, or beg for your loose change. They run and they hide, keeping their feelings locked inside, when everyone makes them feel so unwanted, so lonely, so feared, and so hated. What did they do to diserve this fate? This fate given to them by your rage and hate. All that they want is a place to call home, a place they can go so they don't have to roam. All they want is a family to love them, people to care for, ones that won't make them leave. Why are you blind to their falls? Why are you deaf to their calls? The calls for help, the falls that need tending. Why do you turn and just walk away, when all they want is for us to stay? Why do you block out the sight and the sound- when all they're asking for is LOVE?
