Name~ THREE STRONG WOMEN IN CHICAGO HOPE Interviewed by~ Eirik Kuntzen, PA TV (ON TV in Norway) Year~ 1998
JAYNE BROOK:
DRAMATIC BIRTH: Jayne has just been a mom in real life (in march) and on TV. On the 4th of March, the pregnant woman shot the horrible scenes. In the series it was about lives, but the daughter Emily was well and healthy, even if there was complications. Then days later the real birth began............ Alexandra weight was 3, 4 kilos, and came out as toasted bread, and everything went well without any drama. Jayne and her husband, John Terlesky, were very happy that it wasn't the opposite!
*Has Alexandra changed your life? -Totally! All of my actions are against her well being.
*Has the mom-part been affecting your career? - She's a real sweety so she's worth everything.
COINSIDENSE *How did you tell the Chicago Hope producers you were pregnant? -It went so perfect! They came to me and told me they wanted to let Dr. Grad get pregnant, and hoped I thought that was okay. It was like winning the lottery. Talk about coincidense. When I told them I was three months pregnant, it was just to get started.
*What was done with costumes and make-up? -Men! They wanted me to use pillows an enclosure.......... But I talked them out of it.
*Do you want more children? -Yes, in a few years. Other actors go for their career, but I think the private life is more important.
*Do you think your husband is a better father than Billy Kronk(Peter Berg)? -Yes, but it's planed for making him a home-being father. That would mean that he's not going to be seen so often in Chicago Hope.
*Was it difficult, as a highpregnant, to shoot Diane's birth? - In the series, the placenta to loose and Diane nearly bled to death, and the baby's life was in danger. A cecerian saved both of their lives. I thought about my own coming birth, went out of the studio, and cried my brave tears in the dressing room. It was horrible, but everything went well in the end, says Jayne Brook! |
