Eternal
Vengeance (PART II of Death)
Story by Daisy
If death is only the beginning, then why does everything seem to come to an end?
Chapter Two
“What?!” Howie screamed, jumping up from his chair at the bar so fast
that they chair fell to the floor with a harsh bang.
“Howie, calm down!” Brian walked towards him, trying to make him
settle down.
“Calm down? You think I can calm down when I’m in deep shit like
this?” Howie pushed Brian away from him. They stood silently for a moment. And
Howie read it in his eyes.
He thought that Howie killed Kevin too.

“After Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson died a brutal death, sources say that the police believe the murder to have been committed within the Boys themselves.” Howie’s picture flashed on the screen in front of him. It was a picture of him and Kevin taken just a few weeks ago. “Howie Dorough, seen here with Richardson, was believed to commit this heinous crime. According to the police, Dorough refuses to be questioned, making us further believe that he is, indeed, guilty.”
Howie threw the remote at the TV, listening to the buzzing of the TV and
watching the dark room light up with the electricity showing through the TV.
Just as suddenly as the room had lightened, Howie was surrounded by a blanket of
darkness. He sat in silence, the image of his and Kevin’s picture blazing
before his eyes. He fondly remembered the day that was taken, but now, after
that picture had been shown on the news to disgrace his name, it no longer held
such a special memory.
Howie stood up in the dark, stepping boldly out into the room that he
knew so well. He didn’t need light to find his way around.
“I’ll find the son of a bitch that did this to you, Kev.” Howie’s
eyes burned in the darkness. Then a sudden thought hit Howie.
But not if he finds me first.
Howie searched the dark frantically, now worried that someone may be after him too. After all, he was a Backstreet Boy. Anyone could be wanting to kill him. At any moment. Howie was suddenly filled with such a panic that he began to hyperventilate. He dropped to the floor, crawling along it until he reached the wall. He reached up his arm and flipped on the light switch, searching the room quickly for anyone that could be trying to kill him.
No one was there.

Ebony titled her head up in a silent laughter, looking like a wolf as the moon shone above her. She looked back at Howie who still sat cowering in the corner, rocking himself like a baby. She shook her head in false sympathy.
“You must know that you’re
next!” Her face was eerily shadowed by the moonlight, making her ever the
scarier. “Because you are, my love. You’re next.”
