Yugi then beleived in the Heart of the Cards and summoned Buster Blader. He then fused the Dark Magician and Buster Blader to create the Dark Paladin. Seto told Yugi what a big mistake he had just made, unaware of the Dark Paladin's special effect. As Seto's Ultimate Dragon prepared to attack, Yugi activated De-Fusion. Yugi then explained his monster's special effect was to gain 500 extra attack points for every dragon. Black Paladin the wiped out all three Blue-Eyes.
Seto was very angry. He walked over to Yugi, handed him Obelisk, and walked out in rage. Joey followed, beleiving that he could now take down Seto since Seto no longer had Obelisk. Marik was pleased since now he could use Ra to take back Slifer and Obelisk, and win Yugi's Millenium Puzzle.
